The Madera National Little League 12-year-old All-Stars earned a split in the first two games of the District 10 All-Star Tournament to remain alive.
After a 5-3 loss to Sanger to open the tournament Saturday, Madera National led from the start and didn’t let up in a 14-4 mercy-rule victory over Selma in Madera on Sunday.
The Madera All-Stars weathered through a fourth inning that saw six walks and a single, which allowed Selma to score four runs. Antonio Noriega quickly ended the game with a one-out double in the bottom of the inning.
Madera National will next travel to Fresno to face Sunnyside today at 7 p.m...
