Through the first two innings Friday, the Madera South Stallions and the Firebaugh Eagles were tied in a Madera South Stallion Showdown softball game.
An error in the third and another in the fourth led to two unearned runs for the Eagles and that was enough for a 6-5 victory.
The loss drops the Stallions to 2-4 in the tournament and a 11:30 a.m. game today, weather permitting.
“We were doing so well,” head coach Kelly Valmonte said. “It’s hard because it’s the little things that we are having a problem with. It’s the youth and mental errors, but I don’t know if it’s one causing the other.” ...
