Fresno City College women’s volleyball sophomore Toni Murphy (Madera) was named the Central Valley Conference’s Most Valuable Player on Thursday after leading the team to an undefeated CVC record.

Murphy closed out the regular season with 15 kills in a three-set victory over Porterville College on Nov. 9. The victory was Fresno City’s 18th straight. The Rams are ranked No. 1 in Northern California and No. 2 in the state. They will find out where they will be seeded in the playoffs Sunday and begin play Tuesday.

Bonnie Paul (Liberty) had 3 kills and 2 digs in a four-set loss to Air Force on Nov. 10.
