The Madera South girls basketball team couldn’t produce a win in its final home game of the season.
The Stallions only trailed Fresno (12-14, 4-5 NYL) by three points at the end of the first quarter Wednesday but from that point couldn’t keep up with the Warriors in a 51- 31 loss on Senior Night at Madera South.
“We played well in the first quarter but a little bit after that we just gave up for some reason,” Madera South head coach Joe Thomas said. “We made a few turnovers and they hit some lucky shots, so when the game got away from us, we just lost our effort.”
