Two mistakes sent the Madera National 11-year-old All-Star team to the loser’s bracket in the District 10 Tournament.

The River Park All-Stars scored a run in the fifth and added another in the sixth for a 2-0 victory Monday night in the semifinal game. The win sent River Park to the championship game on Sunday. Meanwhile, Madera National will play Friday in an elimination game.

“It was a great game for the fans,” Madera National manager Ray Hix said. “We needed one hit in certain circumstances and just couldn’t get it. I wouldn’t want to play us on Friday. These kids are going to be hungry.”
