Madera hosts Chivas soccer clinic

Approximately 300 Madera soccer players attended a free Chivas USA youth soccer clinic Saturday and Sunday at Memorial Stadium.

The clinic was sponsored by the Southeast Madera County Unified Foundation, Inc., Madera County Board of Supervisors, Madera Unified School District, Madera Youth Soccer League, City of Madera Parks and Community Services Department and the Central Valley Vipers Competitive Soccer Club.

Coaches from the Chivas USA Youth Development Academy ran the program that provided kids 6-18 with an opportunity to train with professional coaches.

The purpose of the clinic was to provide the highest quality learning experience for all participants with an emphasis placed on teaching the fundamental components of soccer and fostering a positive, enjoyable learning environment...
