After 24 years, Shaubach still loves the game
Twenty-four years, 493 victories and 15 20-win seasons. Those are the numbers Madera Coyote softball coach Judy Shaubach has put up for the only softball team she has ever coached.
Those numbers also make her the winningest female softball coach in Central Section history.
Shaubach, a 1980 graduate of Madera High, is one of those “Coyote blue, true-and-true believers.” She will even tell you she bleeds blue.
Since taking over the softball program in 1989, Shaubach hasn’t looked back. And since then she has wracked up seven league championships and not a single losing season...
