VACAVILLE — In the 50th annual National Bobby Sox Tournament of Champions, it was a chance for the Madera Bobby Sox 6-under and 12-under teams to face some of the best competition.
The 12-under team started Saturday’s double-elimination tourney hot with two convincing wins before dropping its last two games on Monday while the 6-under team finished 1-2.
After winning its District Tournament and Regional Tournament with an undefeated record, the 12-under team finished third overall in the Nationals.
“I’m very, very proud of them and everything they’ve done,” Madera manager Megan Garza said. “They just had an off-day but overall did great.” ...
