Before suffering its second straight loss in the District 10 Little League All-Star Tournament, the Madera American 10-11-year-olds team gave Reedley all it could handle in an extra innings loss the night before.

After opening the double-elimination tourney with an explosive 10-run victory, Madera American (1-2) dropped consecutive decisions and were eliminated Saturday in a 6-0 defeat at River Park-Fresno American.

Facing Reedley on Friday, Madera American appeared to be heading to the championship round after taking a 7-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning before losing a heart-breaking 12-11 seven-inning ballgame.

Madera American was led at the plate by Nathaniel Anaya, who went 3-for-5 with home run and four RBIs while Jordan Lancaster was 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBIs...
