Madera American 10s put up 16 runs in win

In its second game of the District 10 Little League All-Star tournament, the Madera American 10-year-old team used a seven-run inning to put away the Chowchilla All-Stars.

Behind 12 hits, Madera American improved to 2-0 in the double elimination tourney as it came away with a 16-4 win Sunday over Chowchilla at Lions Town and County Park.

It will be a showdown tonight when Madera American hosts River Park-Fresno at 7.

Against Chowchilla, Madera American got out to a quick start in the top of the first inning after Jordan Lancaster reached base on an error and scored on a triple by Matthew Salazar. Josh Lancaster and Christopher Jones-Salas each doubled as Madera American led 2-0...
