Loss forces rubber game on Friday

The first time the Madera South Stallions faced the Edison-Fresno Tigers, the Stallions used a seventh-inning rally to pull out a come-from-behind victory.

However, the second time, the Stallions couldn’t get the last-inning rally Tuesday in a 5-0 loss to the Tigers. The two teams will battle at Edison on Friday in the rubber game of the three-game series.

Mistakes helped lead to the Edison runs in the second and third innings.

Meanwhile, Edison pitcher Vince Forcella limited the Stallions to just two hits over six innings — singles from Romano Gallardo and Uriel Conde — with five strikeouts...
