The Liberty Hawks football team scored on touchdown drives of 82, 90 and 92 yards in a victory over Sierra, but it could have been more if not for penalties.

  Key penalties on two other drives forced a punt, but the Hawks were still dominant on both sides of the football field in a 28-6 Homecoming win Friday night over the Sierra-Tollhouse Chieftains.

The Hawks rushed for 360 yards with three ball carriers gaining more than 75 yards and racking up 424 yards of total offense as opposed to 157 for Sierra.

  “We dominated the game offensively,” head coach Mike Nolte said. “We dominated both sides of the football. Penalties hurt us again. We have to shore that up. These games coming up are going to be close.” ...
