Local classes duke it out on racetrack

With only a few more races left to collect precious points, drivers in each local division knew they couldn’t afford to have an off-night on the track.

With that in mind, drivers in all of the local classes gave the fans at the LoanMart Madera Speedway a night of racing on Saturday featuring the LunkerDaddy Limited Late Models, Toyota Sedans, MST’s, Hobby Stocks, WSRA Mini Cups and the 18-second bracket race.

With only three more races to go before Championship Night, presented by Century 21 M&M and Associated on Sept. 28, drivers from each of those local classes came into the recent event needing to do their very best to assure themselves a shot at a track title.

In a very spirited points race that’s starting to tighten up in the LunkerDaddy Limited Late Models class, that raw emotion was certainly put on display in the 40-lap main, won by newcomer Robert Daniels...
