The last vision in the mind of Liberty’s Ben Cowger was a celebration in the end zone after his first-ever college touchdown for Sacramento State.
Cowger, a redshirt sophomore this season, hopes to build on a promising redshirt freshman season that saw him play behind a player now in the NFL.
“I am working harder and gaining weight,” Cowger said. “I’ve gotten 15 pounds of muscle. I’m working on my speed and footwork and trying to stay mentally tough.”
