Once the Liberty Hawks got set on offense, they didn’t let up in a 47-6 season-opening rout of Farmersville.
The Hawks were called three times for not getting set on offense. It was three of 11 penalties for 100 yards against Liberty. However, that was the only negative part of Friday’s victory. The Hawks outgained the Aztecs 306-87 and sacked quarterback Andrew Williamson eight times.
“We just need to polish up the penalty stuff,” head coach Mike Nolte said. “The defense played well and the team did what we expected them to do.”
