The Liberty Hawks football team passed its biggest test of the season with flying colors last week against Sierra-Tollhouse.

Now the Hawks (7-0, 2-0 NSL) prepare for their next biggest test of the season with the Washington Union-Easton Panthers (0-7, 0-2 NSL) coming to Liberty tonight for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

“They’re good,” head coach Mike Nolte said. “They have size and speed. They have been getting back breaks and have been playing against some good teams.”

The Panthers head into tonight’s game with an 0-7 record with losses to Atwater, Kingsburg, Ridgeview-Bakersfield, Sierra and Chowchilla, all teams with two losses. Washington’s opponents have a combined .620 winning percentage (31-19)...
