Needing a victory in the final game of the Selma Kiwanis Tournament, Connor Brogdon delivered for the Liberty Hawks in an 8-0 victory over the McClatchy-Sacramento Lions on Wednesday at Liberty.

Brogdon tossed a four-hitter with a career-high 15 strikeouts over McClatchy.

The victory sent the Hawks to the tournament third-place game Wednesday night in Selma against Chowchilla.

The Hawks banged out 11 hits in the victory and scored six runs in the first three innings. Anthony Garcia, Garrett Olsen, J.J. Santa Cruz and Deandre Smith each had two hits in the victory...
