In the end, Liberty pitcher Connor Brogdon just wanted to stay home.
Brogdon spurned Long Beach State and a slightly better offer to stay close to home, signing his National Letter of Intent last week to pitch for the Fresno State Bulldogs.
He will receive a partial scholarship to pay for tuition and books.
“I just wanted the school part to be taken care of,” he said. “Long Beach made the same offer as Fresno State with $300 extra a month. I chose Fresno State because it’s close and I like the coaches and the facilities. I get to stay home too.” ...
