Liberty High School will host Jack Renkens of Recruiting Realties to inform athletes and their parents about the realities of college recruiting.

Renkens will provide a 45-minute presentation about college athlete recruiting May 8 at 7 p.m. at the Liberty High School gym. There is no charge for admission.

Renkens has spent the past 16 yards touring the country establishing himself as one of the top athletic and motivational speakers in the nation. He has spoken at 170 schools in a year and his message serves as a reality check for families of student-athletes.

“It may not be what some parents want to hear, but it definitely is what they need to hear,” Renkens said. “I’m primarily trying to get families to get realistic about the opportunities that are available and to get them to understand it’s about getting your education, not about hitting the ball, kicking the ball and throwing the ball. It’s about finding the right match academically.” ...
