After finishing the first half with a perfect run, the Liberty Hawks girls soccer team is looking to continue that trend in the second half in preparation for the Div. III playoffs.

Liberty scored six first half goals in a 7-0 victory Friday at Liberty over the Kerman Lions to improve to 6-0 in the North Sequoia League with four matches left.

Danni Devine and Briidy Burnell scored two goals and Juliet Olsen, Sydney Horanic and Haylee Hoelzel each scored one in the win.

“We would have liked to have scored faster,” head coach Eli Liuba said. “We were able to rest our starters and give our reserves a lot of time to play. We tried different positions with different players so we have different option for the playoffs.”...
