With a shutout victory over the Kerman Lions, the Liberty Hawks girls tennis team recorded its second straight undefeated North Sequoia League championship run.

The Hawks won all nine matches from the Lions to improve their overall record to 14-1 on the season with their lone loss coming to Division 1 Clovis West.

“The senior class that we have worked hard at the game and got better,” head coach Greg Ruland said. “Some of the girls went to a Clovis West camp at the end of their sophomore years and came back different girls. I credit the girls for working on their game in the offseason the past couple of years.”

The Hawks have won back-to-back Division V Valley Championship and will now try for a third straight title after getting moved up to Division IV...
