Liberty announces first Hall class

In Liberty High School’s 10-year existence, athletes, coaches and teams have represented the school by wearing green and gold. And next week, some of those who have sported the school’s colors will be inducted into its first Hall of Fame class.

In March, the school announced the formation of the Liberty Athletic Hall of Fame started by Liberty learning director Frank Panian.

The Hall of Fame will induct its first class May 4 at D&D Ranch, 38484 Ave. 12, with a dinner and dance from 6-11 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $75 per person or $550 for a table of eight. The Hall of Fame will benefit the Foundation for Golden Valley Schools.

In the first class of the Hall of fame will be the 2005 softball team, three-sport athlete Chris Gonzales and coach Greg Ruland...
