With three minutes left in the Madera South boys soccer match against Roosevelt-Fresno, Stallion head coach Cristino Armiento was prepared to head into overtime.

“I was thinking this game was going to be like our last one, an overtime win against McLane,” Armiento said.

The Stallions got a free kick 22 yards away from the goal on the right side. Sophomore David Aguilar put his left foot into the ball and sent it into the upper left corner of the net for a 2-1 victory Tuesday night in Memorial Stadium.
