When a high school baseball team can collect hit after hit while producing a number of runs at the same time, it can make the game quite refreshing for its head coach.

In the other dugout, it’s almost a helpless feeling for the opposing coach to watch.

That was the experience for winning Bullard-Fresno coach Chad Thornhill and Madera South’s John Fernandez on Friday.

In a County/Metro Athletic Conference game, it was Bullard that got the majority of hits — 17 to be exact — that helped the Knights in a 17-5 win over Madera South on Eddie Chapa Field...
