The two-time defending County/Metro Athletic Conference champion Madera wrestling team will host tomorrow’s league tournament in Joe Flores Gym starting at 10 a.m.
The Coyotes enter the tournament with a 4-0 record in CMAC meets, including wins over league teams Madera South, Sanger, Edison-Fresno and Bullard-Fresno.
“We’re trying to finish this off with a three-peat which is a pretty big deal,” Madera head coach Joe Romine said. “We have a lot of young guys and new varsity wrestlers this year, so for them to have won all their duals so far makes our expectations high heading into this tournament.”
Despite finishing 1-4 in league, the Stallions are also looking to make some noise in their first ever CMAC tournament after winning the North Yosemite League championship last season...
