The Thomas Jefferson’s eighth grade baseball team was hoping for a third chance in two weeks against Kerman Middle School.
The Patriots beat Kerman 7-3 in Kerman on Wednesday. The bruise from where they had been kicking themselves a month ago is just healing. Kerman handed TJ its only loss of the year when they scored five unearned runs and beat the Patriots 5-4 in eight innings.
Wednesday, the Patriots jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings and had Kerman on the ropes early. But that old familiar bad inning was just around the corner...
