On its third offensive series of the game, the Madera South football team was facing a 4th-and-2 from its own 29-yard line late in the first quarter. Punt protector Christian Guillen then called for a fake-punt pass and took the direct snap.
After receiving the ball, Guillen took a few steps toward the line of scrimmage and while the Memorial defense committed up to stop the run, he floated a pass to a wide open George Martinez for a 21-yard gain that got the ball to midfield.

After converting the fake-punt pass, the Stallions completed the 10-play, 78-yard drive with a valiant 10-yard touchdown run by Christian Guillen on a 4th-and-goal. Guillen took ball, followed his blockers while dodging a few defenders to complete the drive that cut Memorial's lead to 14-7 with 10:10 remaining in the second quarter.
