With Madera South holding onto a 14-6 lead in the fourth quarter and the Fresno Warriors passing game shredding the Stallions apart, Madera South needed a big-time stop.

That’s when senior outside linebacker Jacob Valladares stepped up and intercepted a Phillip Villnueva screen pass that led to a key Javier Moreno touchdown with 6:05 left.

After a turnover-on-downs, the Madera South football team took over the ball on its own 21-yard line with 9:48 left in the second quarter. The Stallions then went on a 14-play 79-yard drive that ended with an 11-yard touchdown run by Javier Moreno with 2:30 remaining. On that drive, Madera South committed three false start penalties while Fresno had two penalties.

The Stallions also got nice runs from Aldo Serifen-Dominguez (14 yards); Raul Ocegueda (8 yards); Jacob Valladares (7 yards); and Moreno (9 yards)...
