With the Stallions trailing 21-0 in the second quarter, Edison forced a Madera South punt. Edison’s Tyler Horton took the punt by Valladares and turned into it a big one-play highlight reel. Horton picked up the ball and made numerous Stallion defenders miss tackles before reversing field, cutting inside a block and sprinting for an 80-yard return.

Drive of the game

After the Stallion defense forced an incomplete pass on a 4th-and-5, Madera South took over on its own 34-yard line in the fourth quarter. After a big run into Edison territory by senior running back Jacob Valladares, a 15-yard late hit penalty put the ball on the Edison 34-yard line.

Christian Guillen caught a 20-yard pass from Seth Robles before senior running back Raul Ocegueda picked up five yards to get inside the Edison 10-yard line.

On the next  play, Robles kept the ball and went up the middle for a 9-yard touchdown run before Jesus Leal capped the scoring with his 12th PAT (point after touchdown) of the season that made it 42-7 with 9:31 left in the game...
