Tickets slashed in 2-for-1 deal

After getting a narrow victory in the season opener, the California Heatwave American Basketball Association pro basketball team has been on the wrong side of three straight narrow losses, the last coming to defending division champion Bay Area Matrix.

In that game, on Dec. 21, former Fresno State basketball player Alex Blair scored 37 points in his debut.

“It was a tough game and a great game,” head coach Reggie Davis said. “We really had a chance to get that game. We just kind of let one get away. It was a back and forth game. They got the last good run.”
