The Liberty Hawks football team had a subpar performance last week in a victory over Corcoran, but vowed it wouldn’t happen again, especially on Homecoming.

The Hawks scored three touchdowns in a four minute span in the first quarter to jump out to a 20-0 lead and didn’t look back in a 37-0 victory Friday at Liberty.

“We had a much better week of practice,” head coach Mike Nolte said. “We responded after last week.”

The Hawks allowed the Blue Raiders drive 64 yards on the first drive of the game. They also allowed a 56-yard pass play in the first quarter. Except for those two, the Blue Raiders had just five yards of total offense the rest of the night...
