For the second year in a row, the Liberty Hawks football team heads into its homecoming game undefeated, albeit two games later this season.

The Hawks have scored 34 or more points in five of their six games this season, including a 40-7 drubbing of Yosemite-Oakhurst last week.

Liberty will host the Sierra-Tollhouse Chieftains in a North Sequoia League battle between the league’s Div. V schools.

“A lot of teams put the bull’s-eye on us,” Liberty head coach Mike Nolte said. “Sierra is a divisional opponent and definitely has a circle on us.” ...
