The Liberty Hawks football team kept pace with the Washington Union-Easton Panthers for the top spot in the North Sequoia League with a 34-7 victory over the Kerman Lions.
The Hawks (8-1, 3-1 NSL) scored in every quarter and kept the Lions out of the end zone until midway through the fourth quarter.
“Kerman is a good football team,” Liberty head coach Mike Nolte said. “We had some big plays that helped us extend the score a little. We were the more physical team tonight. I knew that was going to make the difference.”
