Hawks ready for Raiders

The last time the Liberty Hawks and the Caruthers Blue Raiders met, the Hawks dominated the game more than the 34-21 score would indicate.

Caruthers’ Daniel Vilella scored on two early long touchdowns, but was held in check the rest of the way. Vilella accounted for 110 of the team’s 143 yards. Meanwhile, the Hawks countered with long runs from Wade Wallace and racked up 472 total yards in an Oct. 5 victory to close out the pre-league 5-0.

The No. 8 seeded Blue Raiders will head to top-seed Liberty tonight for a 7 p.m. kickoff and a chance at redemption.

However, the Hawks will be ready for whatever the Blue Raiders will throw — or run — at them...
