Hawks ready for familiar foe

After taking the week off last week as a result of a No. 1 seed in the Central Section Div. V playoffs, the Liberty Hawks open their postseason tonight hosting the No. 9 seeded Immanuel-Reedley Eagles.

The Hawks have played the Eagles four previous years and have a pretty good record against the Reedley Christian school. The Hawks have outscored the Eagles 135-35 in the four meetings.

The Hawks took the week off to rest a little and get ready for their “third” season (pre-season, North Sequoia League and playoffs).

“We took Friday off last week,” head coach Mike Nolte said. “We were pretty light on Monday. We came out and ran around a little bit.” ...
