After a 7-0 victory over Central Valley Christian-Visalia on Friday, the Liberty Hawk softball team is two games away from its fourth straight Valley Championship game.

The Hawks, who have won the past three Division V Central Section titles, host third seeded Lindsay today at 4:30 p.m.

The No. 2 seed and coNorth Sequoia League champion Hawks (21-6-1, 8-2 NSL) advanced to the semifinal behind a two-hitter from pitcher Hannah Shevenell. She struck out 12 and walked just two against the Cavaliers.

The Cardinals (22-6, 12-3), who won the East Sierra League championship, earned a 2-0 victory over No. 6 Woodlake in the quarterfinals. Lina Padilla scattered six hits and struck out eight...
