Although the Kerman Lions had more hits than the Liberty Hawks softball team, it was Liberty’s two runs in the first inning that made the difference Thursday at Liberty.

After Kerman scored an unearned run in the top of the first, the Hawks scored two runs in the bottom of the inning and held on for a 2-1 North Sequoia League victory.

Even the plate umpire commented on how well both teams played.

“Having the plate umpire say he does college ball telling us this was a well-played game, that’s a credit to the kids,” assistant coach Darrell Graham said...
