Hawks get revenge win over Fowler

After losing to the Fowler Redcats in the Divison V Valley Championship game in November, the Liberty Hawks football team had Sept. 14 circled on its calendar.

After a closely fought first half, Liberty (3-0) came out of the halftime break with two quick scores and held off the Redcats (1-2) for a 35-25 victory Friday at Liberty.

The Hawks limited the Redcats for 126 yards of total offense in the second half.

Wade Wallace accounted for 231 all-purpose yards with three touchdowns. He gained 110 yards rushing with two touchdowns. He also returned a kick 66 yards that led to a another score. Wallace capped his day by returning an interception 50 yards for the game-clinching score...
