After facing a pass-happy Farmersville Aztecs football team in the first week of the season, the Liberty Hawks will now focus their attention on the run-happy Madera South Stallions tonight at Liberty.

The Hawks came away with a 43-26 victory against Farmersville, but one of the glaring statistics of the game was that Aztecs running back Anthony Azevedo ran for 140 yards and a touchdown.

“They were successful with the draw,” Liberty head coach Mike Nolte said. “We found ourselves out of the play a couple of times and they had the perfect call. Our guys need to recognize it and be more aggressive on it.”
