The Liberty Hawks softball team bounced back from one of its toughest losses of the season to record a doubleheaders sweep of the Morro Bay out of the Southern Section on Saturday at Liberty.
The Hawks went extra innings to come away with an 8-7 win in Game 1 of the doubleheader. Liberty made quick work of the Pirates, recording a four-inning 16-0 victory in Game 2.
Hannah Shevenell picked up the win in the first game. Freshman Cassidy Santa Cruz then posted a shutout in the second game scattering 10 hits to record the victory.
