The Liberty Hawks dominated the second half and punched their ticket to the Div. V Valley Championship game Friday night.

The top-seeded Hawks outscored the No. 4 seeded Lindsay Cardinals 20-0 in the second half and overcame a 17-14 halftime deficit for a 34-17 victory Friday at Liberty. The win also gave Liberty head coach Mike Nolte his 31st win, surpassing Chris Imperatrice’s previous school record of 30 wins.

The Hawks will next host No. 7 seed Corcoran, a team Liberty defeated 13-10 in fourth week of the season, for the Div. V Valley title.

The Hawks dominated the Cardinals on defense in the second half. After allowing 158 yards in the first half, the Hawks allowed just 13 yards in the second half...
