Gray pitches, hits Perko’s to City Championship

Madera American Little League champion Perko’s Café pitcher Murph Gray tossed 4 1/3 innings of one-hit ball and hit two triples with two RBIs in an 8-2 victory over Madera National Little League’s Cervantez Remodeling to win the Madera Little League AAA City Championship on Saturday.

Gray struck out eight batters, including six in a row at one point, to pick up the win. He also had two of Perko’s four hits in the game.

Perko’s also took advantage of 10 Cervantez walks. Of the 10 walks, five of the eight Perko’s runs came in to score.
