FSU guard named to Mid-Major All-America first-team Monday

Graduating Fresno State guard Ki-Ki Moore of the women’s basketball team has been named to the Mid-Major All-America first-team by Fullcourt.com Monday after leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament.

Moore, who was a first-team All-Mountain West selection, MW Defensive Player of the Year and MVP of the 2013 MW Reese’s Basketball Championships, helped Fresno State go 24-9 this season and to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth year in a row.

She averaged 17.6 points per game and 6.3 rebounds. Moore’s 103 steals set a new Mountain West single-season record and broke the school record that she set the year before.

In the NCAA Tournament first-round match-up with sixth-ranked Cal, a team that advanced to the Final Four, Moore scored a career-high 33 points in the loss. That was one of 12 games this season where she scored 20 or more points...
