The Madera Parks and Community Services Department will hold its first T-ball clinic Saturday at Lions Town and Country Park. The instructional seminar is free and will be on Fields 2 and 3 adjacent to the parking lots on Howard Road.

Check-in time for the 4-5 age group is 8:45 a.m. with the clinic held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Check-in for 6- to 8-year-olds is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. with the clinic from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

This is a great way for new coaches, parents and kids to learn the fundamentals of baseball and to kick-off the T-ball season that begins April 27.

The department is still in need of coaches for the record 600 youth that have registered for this year’s season. Parents may still register until the day before the clinic at the John W. Wells Youth Center at 701 E. Fifth Street. Call 661-5495 for information...
