If the numbers of boats on the water is any indication, the bite at Eastman is picking up in a big way. Many boaters have shared stories of catching and releasing up to 10 fish in a day and, occasionally, there are reports of 15 to 20 fish.

There are still reports of anglers having luck in shallow water with unusual lure setups, but most folks find that the bass are biting on just about anything once you get down past 20 feet.

The buoy line, coves below the park headquarters and areas near the dam seem to have boats lingering for long stretches of the day. The trout bite continues to improve, and we have another plant scheduled for next week.
