Track titles will be on the line as the local classes gear up for Championship Night on Saturday at the Madera Speedway, featuring the LunkerDaddy Late Models, Hobby Stocks, Toyota Sedans, MSTs and 4- Bangers along with the 18 Second Bracket Race, Southwest Tour Trucks series and Mini-Cups.

It will be triple the points night for the local classes in their final race of the season.

It’s a two-way battle for the Hobby Stocks’ championship as Frank Mazzei holds a slight points lead over rookie Ryan Hart. Mazzei won the first six races of the season before Hart got on a winning streak and took six straight races from July 7 to Sept. 14. Just 26 points separate the two drivers.

Just like in the Hobby Stocks class, only 26 points is the difference between the leader Tony Schmitz from Ray Mayer. Schmitz has won the last six races and eight this season. Expect a big night from both Schmitz and Mayer to make it interesting heading into the final 30-lap race...
