Once Cole Custer took off after the green flag was waved, it would be hard to catch the 14-year-old driver in round three of the Coors Light Late Model Open series as he took home the $1,000 prize Saturday on Holiday Inn Express Night at the Madera Speedway.
In his first season of racing Late Models, Custer became the youngest driver ever to win a main in that class at the Madera Speedway.
“It’s just a dream to be able to race a car as fast as these are,” Custer said. “Without my sponsors or my parents, I wouldn’t be able to do any of that. They are all the people that help us.”
