Madera Coyotes

Shut down “D”: Madera allowed only 84 total yards of offense in its 60-0 victory Friday against the Fresno High Warriors. Of those, 67 came on the ground and 17 in the air a week after the Coyotes allowed 357 yards passing in a loss to Dinuba. In comparison, Madera gained 459 total yards of offense.

Sticky fingers: Madera picked off Warrior quarterbacks three times and recovered five fumbles, two of which were returned for defensive touchdowns. The Coyotes did not turn the ball over during the win...

Madera South Stallions

Hanky panky: In the game between the Lions and Stallions, there were a total of 16 penalties for 95 yards, including a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct call against Kerman on the last play of the game. 

Liberty Hawks

The sack exchange: The Liberty Hawks defense set a school record with eight quarterback sacks Friday night. J.J. Santa Cruz led the Hawks with two and helped Paul Vandergriff on another. Vandergriff, Martin Escarcega, Trevor Stephens, A.J. Leon and Justin Evers also had sacks on Farmersville quarterback Andrew Williamson...
