A track meet at a football game?: Though there was a scheduled football game between the Madera South Stallions and Selma Bears, it might as well have been a track meet as both teams combined to run the ball 94 times for 726 yards.
Ready Freddy: While the Stallions' defense had trouble stopping the Bears, senior cornerback Freddy Montero did his best to limit Selma's scoring. Specialty teams: Tommy Combs has 12 tackles in the first half of the season. Of his 12 tackles, seven have come on special teams to lead the team, including three tackles against Caruthers last week. Logan Pierce and Johnny Aviles each have six special teams tackles.
