With a roster of 12, the Madera Coyote boys basketball team sent players onto the court in waves to wear down the six-player Fresno Warriors at the 20/30 Club Madera South Classic.
After Fresno took an 18-15 lead midway through the second quarter, the Coyotes outscored the Warriors 32-18 the rest of the way for a 45-36 victory Thursday.
“They had six guys so we were playing five-in, five out and wore them out,” head coach Michael Hawkins said. “We did a better job in the second half putting pressure on them and attacking the rack.”
The Coyotes finish out play in the Madera South Classic today at 3 p.m. against McLane-Fresno...
